Rental Conditions
These conditions are part of a contract between you and Rentego.
By clicking, "I accept these rental conditions" and by clicking
to confirm your reservation, you accept this contract. Likewise, if you reserved
by phone and received a reservation confirmation e-mail or letter from us, your
payment means you approve this contract.

- Reservation modes : you can reserve
online on
www.rentego.com, www.rentego.fr,
www.rentego.net ,
www.rentego.biz ,
www.rentego.cz , by phone, fax or letter,
or in our office in Prague.
- Reservation confirmation e-mail :
if you reserve online, you will get a reservation confirmation e-mail within 48
hours that includes a description of your apartment and detailed payment
instructions - in particular payment calendar. If you do not get it within 48
hours, please warn us by telephone or e-mail.
- Payment calendar :
- For reservations made more than 29 days
before arrival, a deposit of 20 % of total amount will be payable within
10 days after reservation. Balance is due at the latest 29 days before
arrival. The contract between you and us begin when you pay the deposit.
- For reservations made 29
days or less before arrival, the total amount is payable immediately and
determines the beginning of the contract.
- In case of a payment by check,
payment date is the date when your check reaches us>
- If your payment does not reach us in
time, we have the right to cancel your reservation>
- Payment confirmation : once we receive
your payment, we will send you a payment confirmation by e-mail and letter.
The letter includes the ecode for the lock which controls access to the
aprtment and the other keys if needed (building key,
keys to other locks on apartment door... depending on cases).
In case of reservations a few days before arrival, this letter can be sent
by EMS (Express Mail Service) for a 22 euros fee (to European Union
countries).
- Damage deposit : a damage deposit will be
required, usually between 200 and 700 euros (unless mentioned otherwise in apartment
description, and unless you reserve from outside the European Union).
If you pay by credit card, your number serves as a guarantee and it will not
be debited unless there is damage. Otherwise, the damage deposit is paybable by check (which will not be cashed unless we have to deduct
money from your deposit) or by wire. In some cases of last minute
reservation, it can be paid in cash in our office or in the appartment you
rented. If this damage deposit has not been paid, entry in the apartment
might be refused. In cases of deposits by check or transfer, it will be returned to you at the latest 14 days
after your departure, return date being the date when we send it back to you
in the case of a check.
- ID document photocopy : in some cases,
photocopies of ID documents will be requested. In particular, it will
be systematically requested for reservations from outside the European Union>
- Apartment amenities : properties are
fully furnished, sheets and towels are provided and included in rental price,
as well as water, electricity, heating and cleanup after your departure. (
You only commit to wash dishes and empty garbage bins before leaving, see "Departure".).
If there is a phone line in the apartment, its use will be restricted to
emergency and toll-free calls
(you just have to buy a pre-paid card like Smartcall to be able to call
anywhere).
- Minimum stay: minimum
stay is 3 nights, we can propose exceptions -
especially if your reservation can be attached just before or after another
reservation.
- Price changes : they are excluded
after your reservation unless unforeseeable changes in taxes occur (VAT or
local tax rates).
- Assistance : We will help you if you have
questions about or need help with the apartment. If this need occurs because
of unappropriated use of the apartment, we reserve the right to invoice you
related work and expenses. Likewise, well try to help you if you experience
difficulties that are not related to the apartment (to contact medical
assistance, your embassy or the police...) but it is not an obligation and
we reserve the right to invoice you related work and expenses. In such cass,
this amount can be deducted from your damage deposit.
- Information on amenities around the apartment :
(public transportation, shops, restaurants, etc.) are only indicative and
not contractual.
- Check-in time: differs per apartment, it is written in your reservation confirmation and in your payment confirmation.
- Inventory : you will find a
detailed inventory in the apartment; you commit to check its accuracy
(we inserted pictures of main items to make it easier and faster ). If
anything is missing or does not correspond to the inventory, or if this
inventory is missing, you commit to warn us within 24 hours by phone,
e-mail to team@rentego.com with confirmation.You will then receive an
automatic e-mail reception confirmation (and we will probably visit you). If
you cannot access telephone or e-mail, you will have to send us a
recommended letter or vist us in our office.
- Complaints : same conditions apply in
case of complaints. If you do not warn us using the process described above,
you abandon all claims.
- Form for authorities : you will find upon
arrival a form in which you have to fill your names, surnames, address
and ID document number. Please send us this form in the pre-paid envelope we
provide you for this.
- Change the code : you have to
change the lock code to a code your friends and family will easily remember
but which is hard to guess for robbers. If robbers get in because you picked
up something too easy to guess, e.g., 123456, you will be held responsible
for damages.
- Maximum number of guests : you commit to
strictly respecting the maximum number of guests indicated in apartment
description (including your invitees)>
- Use and noise : you commit to take care
of the apartment and respect neighbours, particularly by respecting the
interdiction to make noise between 22h00 (10 p.m.) and 7 a.m. (which
could result in a 50 euros fine deducted from the damage deposit if
neighbours complain about you). You
commit to using the apartment only as an accommodation and not for any kind
of trade.
- Pets and smoking rules :
we indicate in descriptions if pets are allowed in a given apartment , and
if smoking is allowed or not. For all apartments, other animals are
forbidden without our written permission.
- Moving furniture : you can move pieces of
furniture, but please be very careful not to damage the floors, and move
them back to their initial place at the end of your stay.
- If you do not respect these conditions :
we will have the right to end this contract.
You will be held responsible for the damage you or your invitees cause to
the apartment, unless you can prove otherwise. The same goes if the
apartment is not in a good enough state to be transmitted to the next renter.
The amount corresponding to the damage will be deducted from your damge
deposit, and you commit to complete it if it were not sufficient. In case of
damages, you commit to warn us within 24 hours by phone, e-mail to
EN@rentego.com with confirmation.You will then receive an
automatic e-mail reception confirmation (and we will probably visit you). If
you cannot access telephone or e-mail, you will have to send us a
recommended letter or vist us in our office.In all cases, we will try to set
up a discussion with you in the appartment to solve the problem together in
the best possible way. It is in your interest to tell us about the problem
as soon as possible so that we can at least repair before the next renter
arrives - and thus avoid your paying extra-fees.
- Check-out time :
differs per apartment, it is written in your reservation confirmation and in your payment confirmation.
- Extending/shortening your stay :
- If you wish to extend your stay, please
contact us as soon as possible>
- There will be no refunds if you leave
the apartment before agreed date>
- If you have not left the apartment and taken off your belongings by the
agreed check-out time and date : we reserve
the right to invoice you the extra nights. If another renter has reserved
the apartment, and if you are not reachable or present in the apartment, we
also reserve the right to gather your belongings and inventory them in
presence of a third-party, and store them in a safe place >
- Before leaving : you commit to washing
the dishes and emptying the fridge, throwing its content and other garbage
in the building's dustbins, close all windows, turn off water taps, lower
heating, turn off the lights and shut the door. You also commit to leaving
the spare copies on the welcome table in the apartment and sending us back
the last building key (which you will use to get out of the building) in the
pre-paid envelope designed for this we provide. Missing keys shall be
deducted from your damage deposit.
- You can transfer your reservation without extra fees
providing you respect the following process :>
- Give all your reservation information
to the new renter (apartment description, reservation confirmation, code
to the lock, key to the building...) and a letter in which you write your
agreement to the transfer>
- Send a mail to reservations@rentego.com with your reservation
number and detailed contact to the new renter (you can use as a template
the form you filled in to make your reservation). These informations are
mainly necessary for legal reasons and so that we can help them
efficiently if needed>
- You can change dates of your reservation
until 21 days before arrival by phone or
e-mail, for a 30 euros fee.
- You can change apartment at least
21 days before arrival by phone or e-mail, for a 30 euros fee;
the change will be free if you change for a bigger apartment.
- If you cancel your reservation :
- Until 43 days before arrival, 10 % of
total amount for rent and 100% of amount for other services shall be due>
- Between 42 and 29 days before arrival, 20 %
of total amount for rent and 100% of amount for other services shall be
due>
- Between 28 and 7 days before arrival, 80 %
of total amount for rent and 100% of amount for other services shall be
due>
- 6 days or less before arrival, 100 % of
total amount for rent and 100% of amount for other services shall be due>
- The date of cancel is the day when we
get your cancellation (for sundays and bank holidays, the first workable
day will be considered). If you do not show up and check in the apartment,
it will de facto be a cancellation and 100 % of total amount for rent and 100%
of amount for other services shall be due>
- If unforeseeable events that could not
be prevented do not allow us to provide you with the apartment planned ,
or prevent you from staying further in the apartment, we will do our best
to propose you a similar apartment. If this proposal does not suit you, we
will refund you the amount corresponding to what you did not use.
- We do our best to give you a true image
of the apartment in pictures and descriptions. However, these pictures are
illustrative and minor changes (for example in apartment furniture) are
not excluded.
- The information provided on formalities
and health precautions provided on our website are only indicative.
Regardless of your citizenship, only your embassy or consulate can provide
you with entirely up-to-date information.
- Cases of breaking-in and thief into
the apartments, if not caused by your own failure (e.g. not closing
windows before leaving the apartment) are covered by our insurance (for
Rentego belongings) or your own insurance (for your own belongings).
- Unless the laws of the country where
you will be staying state the contrary, we
shall not be held responsible for : >
- Your behaviour and the behaviour of
your invitees>
- Unpredictable and irresistible events
caused by Force Majeure>
- Your use of swimming pools, sports
facilities etc. which might be part of rented properties>
- The relationship between you and us
falls under czech law. The court in case of disagreement shall be
Prague 5 court. We can sue renters who would misbehave in
their place of residence.
